This 1962 Ducati 250 Daytona stands out as a unique cafe racer, designed for a custom riding experience. Initially a race bike, it boasts distinctive features such as an SS-style fuel tank and a solo tail from Airtech Streamlining. The bike is equipped with Metal Profiles forks, Hagon shocks, Borrani aluminum rims, rearsets, 12-volt electrics, and an H4 headlight.
The heart of the machine, a 249cc OHC single, underwent a thorough rebuild, including the five-speed gearbox, courtesy of the late marque-specialist Henry Hogben. The powerplant features a 30mm Dell’Orto SS1 carburetor and a reverse-megaphone exhaust. This Ducati has a rich history of participation in various events, including the Moto Melee, SoCal TT, NorCal TT, and a memorable 49-mile ride.
