This weekend in Melbourne, Australia there’s a lot more happening than just a few midgets riding horses around in circles. On Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of November the second installation of Oil Stained Brain will be taking place. Oil Stained Brain is a motorcycle exhibition unlike any other. It’s a celebration of the skill, hard work and creative thinking that goes into building custom motorcycles and showcases a diverse mix of building styles from an eclectic group of Australian backyard builders. This year the event has moved to the outskirts of the CBD to Collingwood where it will take place at Australia’s first communal motorcycle workshop, the Kustom Kommune. Along with 30 new custom builds the exhibition will showcase a display of custom moto inspired photography from a hand picked group of local photographers, artwork by the latest edition to the Melbourne bike scene, Ornamental Conifer and live pin striping and paint demonstrations by Karl from KDS designs (who also happened to design that poster).
If you’re in Melbourne and into any type of custom building or simply have a soft spot for machines that roll on two wheels then you’ll want to head down to the show to get your fill.
